Anhemitonic scale in the music by Russian composers of the 19th — early 20th century
Abstract
The paper is devoted to anhemitonic melodies in the works of various genres by Russian composers of the 19th — early 20th century. Special attention is given to the works by A. P. Borodin, M. P. Musorgsky,
N. A . Rimsky-Korsakov, I. F. Stravinsky, where semitone mode is an important component of the composers’ musical language.
