“The way of Gods” in Japanese eco poster of the 1960–2000s
Abstract
The article is devoted to eco posters in Japanese art in 1960–2000 years. The author considers the key factors of visual communication reflected in contemporary posters by Japanese designers, traces their origins to Shintoism — the mythology of images, extensive employment of the forms of nature and associative relations with them, aspiration to incarnate the Universe through the images of trivial beings, purity and simplicity of graphic language.
