Из истории изучения вазописи древних майя
Аннотация
Статья посвящена истории изучения вазописи майя классического периода. С момента первых публикаций, представивших произведения расписной керамики древних майя, прошло более ста лет. За это время был пройден долгий путь от осторожных догадок до уверенных интерпретаций изображённых сцен и прочтения сопровождающих их иероглифических надписей. Прорыв в изучении вазописи майя, произошедший в 70-е годы XX века, был связан с успехами дешифровки майяской письменности, накоплением «критической массы» артефактов и работами Майкла Ко. В настоящее время, благодаря публикациям в сети интернет развёрток изображений, представленных на сосудах, изучение вазописи майя является одной из самых бурно развивающихся областей майянистики. В настоящей статье обозначены наиболее важные вехи истории исследований художественной керамики майя, даны ссылки на соответствующие источники. В заключение статьи дан краткий обзор отечественных работ, посвящённых исследованиям искусства древних майя в целом и вазописи в частности.
