From the history of the creation of electronic instruments
Abstract
This article is dedicated to the problem of the creation and distribution of electronic musical instruments during the first half of the 20th century, in particular the Sphärophon and the Trautonium. The author notes the root of the problem behind the lack of interest for much promising electronic instruments: the general orientation of the contemporary technical means on the transmission of sound rather than its generation.
