Abstract

Uncovering a topic of theatrical omens and ceremonies, an article gives a brief overview of the history of Russian theatre and tells about the set of signs that appeared there in the past and exist till this day. The author shares episodes from his own biography on stage, his thoughts about the art and meaning of bringing game into it, about a profession of an actor and a role that esthetic environment of Petersburg plays in forming of its culture, theatre and personalities.
