Abstract
Аuthor touches upon the problems of modern church architecture and questions of interaction of tradition and innovation in general on the example of the activity of Polish architect Marek Budzynski. Today we can observe the increasing polarization of the frozen classical language, gravitating to absolute landmarks, and dynamic “modern”, which is based on the subjective, the individual, the relative. In his works Budzynski strives to overcome this unnatural polarization and clearly demonstrates the ability of their organic interaction and mutual enrichment, equally for the temple and secular architecture — without imitation of the past, using the latest technological achievements. and answering in his own way aesthetic, ethical and ecological quest of our time. Architect draws on the value landmarks of tradition and gives the talented, original and very organic response to the sharp aesthetic, ethical and environmental issues of our time.
