Features of psychology of perception of new music: sounds as language elements
Abstract
The article is devoted to gestalt-psychology and reveals some features of perception of new music which is characterized by an idea of binary of — a sound and an echo — a smooth surface of reflections, which is in the center of a system of an Italian composer Salvatore Sciarrino. The main concern of the article is works by a German composer Helmut Lachenmann, who is known for his research on this issue (Musik als existentielle (Lachenmann H. Erfahrung: Schriften 1966–1995. Wiesbaden: Breitkopf/Hartel, 1996). In addition, the article focuses on the researches of Michel Imberti in gestalt-psychology and Gilles Deleuze, a French philosopher, postmodernist. It concludes that a H. Lachenmann’s conception rates the hyper-structure most d psychology of a listener and the concept of a composer are subdued to the idea of smooth surface of S. Sciarrino.
