From the history of the first publications about A. S. Dargomyzhsky
Abstract
I. A. Korzukhin was one of the first researchers who studied creative works by an outstanding Russian composer A. S. Dargomyzhsky. His first publications about the composer appeared in 1894. A geologist by training, music lover, Korzukhin started his musical research under the guidance of the eminent art critic V. V. Stasov with another researcher N. F. Findejzen. The article is based on the unpublished letters from Korzukhin to Findejzen (Russian National Library) and discusses the process of studying the documents of both Dargomyzhsky and his contemporaries.
