“Studio” in modern theatrical pedagogy. An abstract on the current topic
Abstract
The article is devoted to the problems of modern theatrical pedagogy. The author pays special attention to the influence of the “studio” as a specific pedagogical approach of the Russian theatrical school on training of young actors. The analysis of the views of prominent figures of Russian and Soviet theater in the article helps to cover the history of the problem and to identify further ways to study it. The article provides an analysis of works in a “studio”, compares different approaches to educating creative individuality in group learning, explores the psychological contradictions of different approaches to teaching actors in various workshops. It gives some advice which can help both teachers and theater lovers. It emphasises that this way mutual drama schools should be regarded as a promising area in theatre development, moreover it promoted integration of different theater schools, their interdependence and consequently their strengthening and development.
