“Nonsense” in a musical composition of last third of 20th century as “a paradoxical element and a perpetuum mobile”
Abstract
The article is devoted to the comparative analysis of paradoxical elements in terms of form and composite structure in music of the last third of 20th century and their reflection in theoretical works by German composer Karlhajnts Shtokhauzen, the collection of lectures about music “Le Figure Della Musica da Beethoven a Oggi” by Salvatore Sciarrino and comparison of musical ideas on sense and nonsense in the treatise of French philosopher-postmodernist Gilles Deleuze “The Logic of Sense”. Having assumed that sense origins from absurdity, overturning habitual logic, the philosopher draws unusual conclusions on the basis of L. Carroll’s paradoxical thinking. The specific character of a parity of sense and nonsense reflects in the most interesting analogies in the field of the new music, confirmed by theoretical works of the famous composers of last third of 20th century.
